Cats gain confidence, even in defeat
Ramon Harris added a career-high 12 points. Each was "the best he's ever been," Gillispie said. Stevenson acknowledged that Tennessee's lack of a dominating presence around the basket helped. "But they're all pretty much bigger than I am," Stevenson said. "I'll have that problem every evening." Tennessee forward Wayne Chism credited Stevenson's effort. "He's long," the UT player said. "You can get anything if you're that long. He worked hard for those rebounds. And I worked hard to keep him off." Derrick Jasper equaled a career high with two three-pointers. Noting his 3-for-14 three-point shooting last season, Jasper said, "I'm not scared shooting the ball." Harris equaled a career-high with three made free throws and three steals.
Who Has Britney's Best Interests in Mind?
Even though you may not be the greatest parents in the world, I can't imagine them not wanting their daughter to be happy. Unfortunately, 'fame' and money haven't made her a happy, content and well-adjusted individual. I hope that things can be resolved peacefully. .
On The Constitutional Reasons Behind Copyright And Patents
To kick it off, I wanted to discuss the very rationale for intellectual property rights in the US. While many people assume that there's always been strong support for things like copyright and patents in the US, that's not the case at all. Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, who were the main players involved, were actually quite skeptical of the concept. Both talked at length about the subject, but a brief quote from each should give you a sense of their feelings. Thomas Jefferson's eloquent statement read thusly: "Stable ownership is the gift of social law, and is given late in the progress of society. It would be curious then, if an idea, the fugitive fermentation of an individual brain, could, of natural right, be claimed in exclusive and stable property. If nature has made any one thing less susceptible than all others of exclusive property, it is the action of the thinking power called an idea, which an individual may exclusively possess as long as he keeps it to himself; but the moment it is divulged, it forces itself into the possession of every one, and the receiver cannot dispossess himself of it.
That's the ballgame: Toshiba bows out of HD DVD
Many for example know the playstation name as a gaming console and one that has proven its worth over time. The idea of having it as a blu-ray player isn't that attractive to someone who has zero interesting in gaming. I doubt the thought would have even crossed their mind. What would a salesman say if someone said they were looking for a blu-ray player? Should they recommend a playstation? Surly not. They would offer the customer several solutions. I know you said yourself you are not a ps3 fanboy and I accept that because of the effort and sense you put into your post instead of bashing and throwing insults around. But that said there are those here that just preach PS3 PS3 PS3 and just cant understand there is more to blu-ray than their precious investment. Score: 0 .
Huizenga scripted his exit well
It sounded like the most controversial, important dealmaker in South Florida sports history was fashioning his exit. There was care taken in the announcement that Huizenga was selling 50 percent of the Dolphins (and the stadium and surrounding land) to real-estate magnate Stephen M. Ross. An emphasis that Huizenga remains managing general partner; i.e., the boss. But what wasn't said was just as apparent. The golden handshake between two billionaire businessmen signaled that ownership of the Miami Dolphins -- our sports flagship that has been controlled by only two families since 1966 -- has begun a gradual but seismic change of hands. (Man, the Dolphins sure know how to steal thunder from the Marlins and their new stadium, don't they?) ORDERLY TRANSITION I believe Huizenga would have ceded controlling interesting and power to Ross right away but for a public-relations effort to make the transition less jarring for a franchise and fandom already in tumult after six consecutive years out of the playoffs and yet another coaching change.
